We are thrilled to announce the second annual HKU Music Festival, set to take place on February 13, 2025 (Thursday), at 7 PM in the Haking Wong Podium. This vibrant event promises to be a highlight of the academic year, celebrating the incredible creativity and passion of our students in the world of music.
A Celebration of Talent
Co-organized by the HKU Libraries and CEDARS, the HKU Music Festival is dedicated to uncovering and nurturing the talents of young musicians within our community. This year, we received over 40 submissions from postgraduate and undergraduate students spanning ten faculties. The diversity of talent showcased is a testament to the rich musical culture at HKU.
After two rigorous rounds of judging, 11 awardees were selected to perform their original works at the festival. These performances will not only highlight their artistic abilities but also serve as a platform for expressing their unique musical voices.

Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with inspiring performances that reflect the dreams and aspirations of our student musicians. The festival aims to foster connections within the HKU community, allowing students, faculty, and music enthusiasts to come together and celebrate creativity.
